Email AI plug-in Microsoft Outlook

The Email AI Assistant can be used via plug-in directly in Microsoft Outlook in the email system.

Prerequisites

In order to use the Email AI plug-in in Microsoft Outlook, the following prerequisites apply:

  • The user must be registered with DialogShift.
  • An Exchange server must be available (Exchange Online or Exchange 2016 and newer). IMAP accounts do not work (if this is the case, we should think again about Thunderbird). The list of compatible Outlook versions can be shortened somewhat:
    • Windows:
      • Outlook 2021 or newer
      • Outlook 365 on Windows 10 20H2 or newer
      • New Outlook
    • Mac:
      • Outlook app
    • Web:
      • Outlook online (in Firefox, Safari, Chrome & derivatives)

NOT currently supported:

  • Windows:
    • Outlook 2019 or older
    • Outlook 365 if not regularly updated, or on Windows 10 2004 or older
  • Mac:
    • Outlook with year (except 2024)
  • Web:
    • Outlook Web Access

This is how the installation works:


  1. Open Outlook: Start Outlook on your computer.
  2. Open ‘All apps’: Click on ‘All apps’ in the top right-hand corner and then select ‘Get add-ins’.
  3. Search for a plugin: A new window will open with available plugins. Enter ‘DialogShift’ in the search field at the top right.
  4. Select plugin: As soon as ‘DialogShift Email Assistant’ is displayed, click on it.
  5. Add: Click on ‘Add’ in the next window to install the plugin.
  6. Find plugin: You will then find the DialogShift Email Assistant in the ‘Add-Ins’ tab under ‘My Add-Ins’.

The plugin is now installed and ready to use! 🎉
